Applied Psychometrician

The NYU Steinhardt School Department of Applied Psychology seeks an applied psychometrician with a strong research focus in one or more of the following areas: education, psychology, and/or health. The search is open to all ranks. Applicants should have a keen interest in both developing/evaluating new psychometric methods as well as applying methods in collaborative work with faculty and graduate students in areas represented by the departments in the School. Psychometric specialty areas that are of particular interest to the department include (1) IRT models, (2) eneralizability theory, (3) computerized testing, and (4) performance assessment. The candidate also should have strong communication skills as a classroom teacher and as a presenter of research findings to others who are not as well-versed in his/her field of research.
