ASSISTANT OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, EVALUATION
THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA

A tenure-track position in EVALUATION is available at The University of Iowa beginning August 2008. Required qualifications include (1) earned doctorate with substantial preparation in evaluation methodology, (2) demonstrated competence with quantitative and qualitative research paradigms, (3) evidence of excellence in teaching, (4) potential for attracting external funding and (5) skills in working collaboratively and with diverse populations. Desired qualifications include (1) an established research agenda and publication record related to evaluation methodology, and (2) demonstrated ability to attract external funding.

Responsibilities include teaching graduate courses in evaluation, including introduction to program evaluation; advising MA and PhD students; continuing a personal research program that leads, in part, to publications in refereed journals. In addition, the person accepting this position will seek external funding, participate in the activities of professional organizations, and join an active and accomplished faculty in Educational Measurement, Statistics, and Evaluation.
