The Company has immediate openings for Associates and Analysts to join our practice areas serving provosts and deans. Associates and Analysts contribute to our work that guides the strategic decision-making of academic leadership teams at universities –including provosts, presidents, and deans. Our work in these areas focuses on the following issues, among others: teacher preparation program effectiveness and policy, student learning outcomes, market research for higher education, faculty productivity, and operational effectiveness. Eduventures seeks strong individual performers who can also contribute effectively to teams executing a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods to meet the specific needs of our college and university clients. Team members are also expected to use Eduventures proprietary data and insight to effectively advise clients on critical decision-making activities related to their organizational success.


Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the Analyst roles include, but are not limited to:
•Building and maintaining relationships with clients
•Managing and conducting qualitative and quantitative primary and secondary research to support client needs
•Designing and scoping project plans that use appropriate methodologies to deliver solutions to client needs
•Common tasks include:
◦Primary and secondary research to support program assessment, accreditation, and development
◦Benchmarking and best-practices research
◦Literature reviews and syntheses on timely higher education topics
◦Data analysis, modeling, and reporting (utilizing SPSS and Excel)
◦Moderating roundtable discussions of expert panelists
•Leading the research, development, and writing of client-specific work products addressing the market research, benchmarking, assessment, or other information needs of individual clients
•Delivering on-time, high-quality deliverables that exceed client expectations


Requirements

•1-5 years of experience, or more, in client-oriented research settings, including consulting, market research, or P-12/higher education
•Demonstrated passion and interest in P-12/higher education
•Experience in university assessment, evaluation, accreditation support, or institutional research preferred
•Strong analytical skills with qualitative and quantitative research experience; experience with regression and linear modeling preferred
•Strong written and verbal business communication skills and client service ethic
•Exceptional writing skills; proven ability to transform key data into clear business commentary and action points
•Expertise in managing relationships with colleagues, clients, and vendors
•Business-oriented, entrepreneurial mind-set
•Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or above highly preferred
•Experience in P-12 or higher education is a plus, particularly in university administration, K-12 education policy, and teacher preparation
•High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
•Experience with SPSS, STATA, or similar statistics package


This is full-time, salaried position, based in our Boston office.

The University of Texas - Pan American invites applications for a
one-year full-time psychology faculty lecturer position for the
2010-2011 academic year. Responsibilities include teaching
undergraduate psychology courses in research methods and statistics
and/or graduate statistics. A Master's degree in Psychology is
required; a doctorate in psychology and previous teaching experience
are preferred.

TITLE: Research Specialist
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: To ensure that district improvement efforts are
research based and data driven by providing research and data analysis support to
accountability initiatives, especially those involving urban schools with high populations of
diverse learners, so that all students are given adequate opportunities to participate and
succeed in achieving high academic standards.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the supervision of a manager with wide latitude to
exercise independent judgment. Work is subject to review on a periodic basis or upon
completion for results achieved and for adherence to professional standards of conduct.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Generally none. May work as part of teams and in collaboration with others with wide latitude
for the exercise of independent judgment to achieve results. May be involved in providing
input to the performance management process as a peer or colleague as appropriate.
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF WORK AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Conduct analyses of state, district, school and student performance data that informs
statewide policy and decision making.
Provide relevant and timely research on educational issue.
Coordinate and lead specific proposals, development of teams across offices and other

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Working knowledge of research based best practices in standards-based curriculum,

Working knowledge of instruction and assessment for all student populations, including
children with special needs/learning differences and English language learners.

The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston, a leading academic health sciences center located on the Texas Gulf Coast, is searching for a motivated, enthusiastic educator to join our Office of Educational Development as a Senior Medical Educator with primary responsibilities for curriculum evaluation and educational research support. UTMB has more than 2,000 students in the medical, nursing, allied health and graduate biomedical sciences and is building on its strong history of innovative approaches to teaching, learning, and student assessment.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a doctoral degree in education, psychology or a related field and two years experience in medical/health professions education. Specialized preparation and experience are desired in principles of research design, quantitative data analysis techniques, and psychometric/measurement principles. Knowledge of one or more statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, SAS) and evidence of substantial responsibility for educational program evaluation are preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment are required.

Minimum qualifications for this position include:
Ed.D. or Ph.D. in education, psychology or a related field
Two years experience in medical/health professions education

Preferred qualifications for this position include:
• Ability to apply knowledge of research design and quantitative data analysis
• Working knowledge of one or more statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, SAS)
• One or more years experience involving substantial responsibility for educational program evaluation
