The Department of Educational Leadership in the College of Education invites
applications for an open rank, tenure-line position in quantitative research
methods beginning September 2009. This position is designed to continue
development of the department's focus on educational research methodology,
policy, and leadership. The department offers masters' and doctoral programs
to a diverse student body. Faculty members are expected to engage in the
full range of research, teaching, and service activities consistent with the
requirements of an AAU research university. We are seeking candidates with
demonstrated excellence or potential for excellence in teaching quantitative
methods in education at the graduate level. We seek candidates with
expertise in a substantive research area in applied educational research
(e.g. program evaluation, instrument development; application of state and
local policy in the context of accountability systems; use of data and data
systems to improve teaching and learning). Candidates must have a commitment
to working with diverse populations, including individuals from
multicultural, bilingual and multilingual, and special-needs groups.
