Thrive by Five Washington

Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates has been retained by Thrive by Five Washington to assist them in their search for their new Director of Research and Evaluation. We would like to enlist your help in identifying candidates.

In early 2006, public and private funding partners joined to create Thrive by Five Washington (based in Seattle), an organization designed to serve as a catalyst for improvements to parenting education and support, child care, preschool, and other early learning environments throughout Washington. The mission of Thrive by Five is to work with communities and families to ensure that every child in the State of Washington has the opportunity, from birth, to be successful in school and in life.

We seek a Director of Research and Evaluation who will provide leadership and expertise for all work in the areas of early learning research, evaluation and cost estimation of programs, including planning, workforce and program development and measurable outcomes assessment. He or she will provide support and supervision to the members of this unit and work collaboratively with the leadership team of Thrive by Five.

Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (either Ed.D or Ph.D) is required
- Proven applied research record and experience in developing and implementing programs in early learning and child development
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Meta-narrative (storytelling) experience
- Ability to manage a team structure
- Experience and interest in working in a highly diverse environment
- Experience and comfortable working in a small, highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
