Children’s Research Triangle (CRT)

Children’s Research Triangle (CRT) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that evaluates and treats high risk children, many of whom have been prenatally exposed to drugs and alcohol. CRT also carries out research which is supported by a variety of federal and foundation grants

Currently, CRT’s research team is directed by a full-time licensed clinical psychologist. There are two full-time paid research assistants, and one paid graduate assistant. We also have an undergraduate research internship program in which undergraduates from universities in the Chicago area volunteer between 6 to 20 hours a week helping with research related tasks such as data input, data cleaning, scoring, etc.

The CRT research team has a job opening for a masters level trained program evaluator who is interested in clinically oriented program evaluation that is child-centered. This position is funded for one year but may be extended contingent on grant funding.

§ development of a database about children 0 to 18 who have been assessed and treated at the Child Study Center, the clinic at CRT,

§ an MCHB funded evaluation study of a training program for health professionals learning to screen women for substance use during pregnancy and children for fetal alcohol spectrum disorders,

§ program evaluation of clinical interventions funded by private foundations,

§ grant writing of new proposals that are consistent with CRT’s mission.

Much of the job will involve management of various grants and projects. Data analysis will be incorporated into the position as the individual’s training and interests dictate.
