DIRECTOR OF EVALUATION AND DATA SERVICES

Public Consulting Group’s Center for Resource Management (PCG-CRM) is a dynamic, results-oriented consulting and professional services organization located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. PCG-CRM’s Evaluation and Data Services are designed to support program improvement and impact, promote systemic data use at all levels, and apply proven practices to improve teaching and learning. Our services focus on student outcomes and program results by utilizing in-house data warehousing technology for extensive data disaggregation and growth model methodologies to provide both trend and gains analyses in examining student performance and program effectiveness. We also work with school districts to establish and support data teams and effective data use practices at both district and school levels.
We are looking for a senior professional leader to direct and develop
this growing area of our work.

The Director of Evaluation and Data Services will:
• Lead a team of PCG-CRM staff and consultants in designing, refining, and delivering evaluation and data use services to clients that include school districts, state agencies, foundations, and other education organizations
• Prepare proposals for services and responses to RFPs, and make presentations to potential clients
• Serve as Project Director of major program evaluation initiatives
• Pursue opportunities to build the awareness and credibility of PCG-CRM’s Evaluation and Data Use Services among leaders at the local, state, and national levels
• Develop marketing plans in collaboration with the PCG-CRM Executive Director and PCG Managers and respond to opportunities created through PCG Managers’ marketing and client relationships
• Participate on the PCG-CRM Management Team to integrate evaluation and data services with literacy services
Qualifications
• Doctorate in education, including coursework in program evaluation
• Experience in facilitating the use of assessment and other data by district and school teams
• Knowledge of multiple types of assessments
• Experience designing and directing evaluations of at least $100,000 in scope
• Familiarity with current evaluation concepts and methodologies, particularly quantitative analyses and growth models
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
• Excellent writing skills and expertise in analyzing data and summarizing results for easy understanding by educational decision-makers
• Entrepreneurial interests and a business orientation
