The Department of Educational Psychology at Texas A&M University seeks a person for an Assistant/Associate rank, tenured/tenure track position in the Research, Measurement and Statistics program for fall 2009 with specialization in quantitative methods in educational and social science research.

Qualifications for the position are (1) a doctoral degree (completed or anticipated within 1 semester of hiring) in quantitative methods in educational or social science research, or related discipline, with expertise in several areas, such as item response theory, psychometric theory, categorical data analysis, survey research and sampling methods, experimental and quasi-experimental design; (2) experience on large research projects will be considered advantageous; and (3) an active program of research in an area relevant to the position that for new assistant professors will result in publication in major first-tier journals and other scholarly products and for more experienced assistant or associate professors will be reflected in a current record of outstanding publication and research. The successful applicant will be expected to teach and to mentor graduate students. Salary will be competitive, with additional support appropriate to entering level and requirements being provided.
