EDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENT
The Harvard Graduate School of Education invites applications from highly-qualified candidates for a position in educational assessment and measurement at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.

Requirements include a strong doctoral record in a relevant discipline, strong technical training in measurement, and a research focus on issues at the interface between assessment and policy or educational practice. Topical areas of interest include but are not limited to international comparative assessments, testing of emergent literacy skills, assessment of second-language proficiency, postsecondary assessment, and new directions in formative and other assessment design. The successful candidate will be expected to teach both policy-oriented and technical
courses in measurement at the master's and doctoral levels.

The search committee will begin reviewing applications on November 12, 2007 and will
continue until the position is filled. Applicants should send a hard copy of their curriculum vitae, a cover letter explaining their research and teaching interests, three examples of their scholarship, and the names and contact information of three or more people who can provide references to:
