TENURE TRACK POSITION IN ADVANCED QUANTITATIVE METHODS IN EDUCATION

The Graduate School of Education & Information Studies at the University of
California, Los Angeles announces an opening for a tenure-track assistant
professor in advanced quantitative methods. We have particular need for
someone engaged in methodological work in one or more of the following
areas: experimental and quasi-experimental design, causal inference, latent
variable/structural equation modeling, or longitudinal analysis. Applicants
should have interest in applications in substantive areas in education or
closely related fields. Candidates should also have demonstrated skill in
teaching introductory and advanced quantitative methodology courses.

The appointee will be affiliated with the Division of Social Research
Methodology. The SRM faculty represents a wide range of quantitative and
qualitative methodologies and interests, and strives to incorporate multiple
methodological perspectives into research and teaching. Information about

The Department of Education has as one of its priorities the recruitment of
faculty who can bridge academic and professional programs.

QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral degree in education or related field with
specialization in statistical methods; record of research and scholarly
publications consonant with the appointment level; promise of a strong
research record beyond that achieved to date; willingness to generate
extramural funding for research; and interest in teaching and mentoring
students at the graduate level.
