Teachers College - Asst/Assoc Professor

Position: Full-time faculty position (Assistant/Associate Professor, tenure-track) in applied statistics/quantitative methods in the program in Measurement, Evaluation, and Statistics at Teachers College, Columbia University. The ideal candidate will have research interests primarily in statistics and quantitative methods, with specific interests in the areas of psychometrics, evaluation, or policy research a plus. The program is located in the Department of Human Development, (www.tc.columbia.edu/hud) a department that also includes programs in Cognitive Psychology/Cognitive Science, Developmental Psychology, and Sociology.

Responsibilities: Teach graduate courses in applied statistical methods; maintain active, externally funded research program; provide statistical consultation to students and faculty; advise master’s and doctoral students, including supervising doctoral research.

Qualifications: Earned doctorate in statistics, psychology, education, or related field. Strong background in statistical methodology. Record of accomplishment or potential for significant contributions to research in statistical methods, educational measurement, psychometric theory and methodology, educational policy, or related field.

Rank: Assistant or Associate Professor, tenure-track or tenured.
