This individual will initially lead the evaluation component of an NSF-funded project to improve a widely used evolutionary biology package.

Additional projects may include assessing educational software in other areas of biology, and evaluating middle/high school computer-based laboratories for teaching modeling and programming skills. There will be a considerable degree of
flexibility in the way assessments are conducted, so the individual can introduce their own interests into the assessment. We expect to publish results from these evaluations in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.

The job will be based in the Boston area, and may involve some travel. Start date is January, 2008.
